@LHeureuxAdamOkay, first, introduce yourself. How long have you played the game and what led you to Mars Hill?

"My name is Christopher Ferdinand and I’m from Homestead, Florida. I’ve been playing this game of football since I was in 1st grade. Before I went to Mars Hill, I played at a junior college in California. Then I was getting recruited by multiple teams in the SAC conference, but I chose Mars Hill because it was the best fit and I knew a couple of teammates from high school who were there and recommended that I come and help them."

Was Eldrick Wilson one of those teammates? If so, how long have you two known each other?

"Eldrick wasn’t one of the ones that recommended me, but me and Eldrick came into the program the same year. I’ve known him since my freshman year in high school."

Oh, nice. What has been the most memorable play of your college career thus far?

"My most memorable play would have to be against Tusculum College in 2016 overtime where I forced a fumble on the goal line."

Do you have an NFL or college player you model your game after or look up to? If so, who?

"I model my game off of Derwin James and Telvin Smith. The versatility and play-making ability is what I can relate to."

Those are two fantastic players. Do you have a pregame/locker room playlist? If so, what/who is on it?

"Yeah, I don’t have specific songs, but I have artists I listen to before every game. Contains Chief Keef, Kodak Black, Mike Smiff, NBA Youngboy, Kevin Gates, Future and Young Thug."

Like I told Eldrick Wilson. I really love Young Thug. What do you think you bring to your team now? What would you bring to a team at the pro level?

"What I bring to my team is leadership, hardworking, play-making, and positive energy. I will bring the same to the next level and I will be a bonus because I can play more than one position."

What positions do you play? I see you listed as a DB, so are you more of a CB/S or do you come down and play some LB?

"OLB, SS, FS, hybrid, and I can rush off the end."

Oh, wow. That's quite a bit of versatility. What, if anything, would you like to improve on?

"I feel like there’s always room for improvement, but my main thing would have to be technique at the linebacker position and knowledge of the game."

Very nice. What are your hobbies off the field?

"Off the field, most of the time I’m in the weight room or watching sports. Sometimes I train my little cousins."

Oh, wow. That's awesome. So, finally, what should people know about Chris Ferdinand?

"People should know that I am a person who puts others before myself and just want to see everyone be great. I am very encouraging. I work hard and do not expect any handouts. In everything I do, I give it my all and I am trying to motivate the youth that giving up is never an option no matter what trials and tribulations we face. Just trust God and keep on working."

Love that. Thank you so much for your time.
